Kristiana Butler is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and has exclusively practiced family law in greater Austin since 2013. Kristiana’s practice primarily focuses on divorce and child custody litigation.

As an attorney, Kristiana works closely with clients to evaluate a case’s merits and to construct a plan that works best for each individual client. While the majority of family law cases can be resolved through mediation and settlement, Kristiana takes pride in fighting for her clients in the courtroom when settlement is not the right option.

Kristiana grew up in West Texas and graduated from Texas Christian University (magna cum laude–high honors) in 2005. She then graduated from Columbia University with a Master’s Degree in Journalism, and worked as a newspaper and magazine editor until she decided to attend law school. During law school, Kristiana earned certification as a civil mediator through Texas Tech University School of Law’s mediation clinic and served on the Texas Tech Law Review before graduating magna cum laude.

Kristiana has served on the board of the Williamson County Bar Association Women Lawyers’ Section and is currently a member of several legal organizations, including the Austin Family Law Section, Travis County Women Lawyers, and the Mother Attorney Mentoring Association of Austin. During her spare time, Kristiana is an active member of the Junior League of Austin and can be found exploring local parks and patios with her husband, their young daughter, and the family Sheepadoodle.
